Jessica Bram, President

Jessica Bram Communications was founded in 2000 by Jessica Bram, a professional business writer, journalist and editor with 25 years experience in banking, government, and real estate development.

Prior to founding her own firm, Jessica was special sections editor of the Fairfield County Business Journal. She has also been a freelance business editor, reporter, and columnist for various publications including the Connecticut Post, The Hour, the Westport News, and other Brooks Community Newspapers.

Jessica is an essayist and writer whose articles and essays have been published and syndicated in national and regional newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Connecticut Post, Fairfield County Business Journal, Child Magazine, Woman’s Journal, Country Accents and the Gannett and Brooks Community Newspapers. Her commentaries are regularly heard on the National Public Radio station WSHU (91.1) during NPR’s “All Things Considered” and “Morning Edition.” Her commentary “Ricardo” was awarded first prize winner in the radio commentary category by The Society of Professional Journalists, Connecticut Chapter, in its 2005 Excellence in Journalism Contest.

Jessica Bram is currently on the adjunct faculty of Norwalk Community College where she teaches literature and writing. In addition to her private writing workshops, she has also taught courses in memoir, essay, and creative nonfiction writing at the Lifetime Learners Institute, Norwalk Community College’s Extended Studies and Workforce Education program, and Westport Continuing Education.

Jessica received both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master's of City and Regional Planning degree from Cornell University. She is a past president and Board member of the Entrepreneurial Woman’s Network and an active member of the Westport Rotary Club, the Westport Democratic Town Committee, and the Connecticut Press Club.

KarenKaren Kovacs Dydzuhn

Karen Kovacs Dydzuhn is the former editor of the Monroe Courier, a weekly newspaper published by Hometown Publications. She is currently a freelance writer and reporter who contributes weekly news and feature stories to local publications including the Monroe Courier and Easton Courier. Karen’s work has also appeared in The Hour, The Minuteman, The Fairfield County Catholic and Beginnings, a parenting magazine.

Previously, Karen has been responsible for publicizing special events, awards ceremonies and fundraisers for The Sons of Italy organization and St. Luke Church in Westport. She has also designed and created newsletters for local businesses and organizations.

Karen began a career in journalism at Cahners Publishing Company in Boston, Mass. She wrote about careers and job searches for EDN News, and was an editor of School Library Journal. Karen also worked in the marketing and sales departments of Interior Design Magazine.

Karen holds a bachelor of arts degree in English and psychology from New York University.
